USFWS Reviewing ESA Listing Status for Kootenai River White Salmon, 68 Other Species

The Pacific Region of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on Wednesday announced it is initiating five-year reviews of 69 species — including endangered Kootenai River white sturgeon and Columbia pygmy rabbits and the threatened northern Idaho ground squirrel from the Columbia River Basin – that are protected under the federal Endangered Species Act.
