USFWS Pegs Critical Habitat For Selkirk Caribou At 30,010 Acres; Original Proposal 375,552 Acres

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced Tuesday that its final critical habitat designation for the southern Selkirk Mountains population of woodland caribou includes 30,010 acres in northern Idaho’s Boundary County and northeast Washington’s Pend Oreille County rather than the 375,552 acres originally proposed in 2011.
