USFWS ISSUES MONITORING PLAN FOR DE-LISTED AMERICAN PEREGRINE FALCON

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service today issued its monitoring plan for the American peregrine falcon in the continental United States.

The bird was removed from the Federal list of threatened and endangered species in 1999, and the monitoring plan is designed to make sure that American peregrine falcons continue to thrive without the protection of the Endangered Species Act.
