The lower Snake River this week landed on an environmental group’s list of “America’s Most Endangered Rivers: 2009 Edition.”
The Snake is ranked third because American Rivers says that four dams on the lower river are driving salmon to the brink of extinction while preventing the Northwest from embracing 21st century energy and transportation opportunities.
