A state salmon restoration plan originally used to try head off federal
listing of a single species will be given broader focus through an executive
order expected to be signed within days by Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber.
With Kitzhaber’s new marching orders for state agencies "Oregon reaffirms
its intent to play the leading role in protecting and restoring Oregon
