9. COMMITTEE APPROVES

After winning House committee approval, supporters
of a resolution that would put Congress on record
against breaching four lower Snake River dams were
not in a rush to elevate the issue to the full
House. The non-binding sense-of-Congress
resolution passed the Resources Committee by voice
vote on July 21.
But the author, Rep. Doc Hastings, R-Wash., said
more work needs to be done before a House vote
